Clutch cancel switch
So recently picked up an 86 4 runner dlx. It did not come with a clutch cancel switch. I assume the wiring is there what parts do I need to connect everything?
Thanks

Seen the switches on Ebay. It's a simple open/close one wire switch. A toggle on-off switch. If there is a pigtail wire and connector hanging free under the dash, then just plug it in.
I did this on my 86 2WD truck that didn't ever have a clutch cancel switch. T-connect the clutch cancel switch (used a min-toggle switch) wires to clutch safety start switch wires. Located at top of the clutch pedal. It unplugs, so I removed it for easy modifying. Just attach one wire to one wire. Then when on, the clutch cancel switch completes the circuit and by passes the safety start switch. When off, the clutch cancel switch is open and out the loop and the safety switch closes when clutch engaged so it works normal
I stripped a section of insulation twisted, soldered, and taped the wires, but you can by T-connects that just snap on/
I at one time added a both by-pass and a never start mini- toggles to my 2WD truck. I needed to piddle about.
