LH85 Toyota Hiace suspension questions (IFS)

Morning all,

I have a 1991 LH85 Hiace with a 2L diesel, 8" rear axle and IFS front end. From what I can see it is almost identical to a pickup/hilux/4runner although the upper arms are different (I know this because I pieced all the parts together to lift it almost 2 years ago and the balljoint design differs from a pickup so I couldn't use the spacers I had purchased).

Does anybody know of EITHER some replacement torsion bars, or torsion bar keys I could swap out to get approximately 1.5" of lift? I cranked the bars ages back so I could run my 31x10.5R15 tyres and i'm finally getting around to doing it somewhat properly without going stupid high. I could solid-axle-swap this but i'm trying to keep it as simple as possible as I really don't have the time to be fabricating the required stuff and messing with the steering box to solid axle swap it unfortunately.

Thanks!

James.

Gear Ratio

Wondering what is the gear ratio on your LH85. I have a 1990 but the rear wheels are 13.5” and the front are 15”. I want to put 15” in the back like yours. I’m wondering if I should follow the front gear ratio at 5.25 or the rear at 4.30. Thanks
