I am having an issue with my 4Runner with the 3vze losing power at higher rpm’s. The issue is super random too but I found that if I turn the key off and then back on I will have the power back for a while until something happens and makes me lose power again. I have set timing to 10 deg with E1 and TE1 jumped, set the TPS to the FSM specifications, checked the VAFM with a meter and it is in spec, changed the fuel filter, and have no vacuum leaks. Don’t know if it matters but my 4Runner was originally auto that I manual swapped and is still running the auto ECU. Anyone have any issues similar to mine? I was thinking fuel pressure or maybe the knock sensor is picking up interference from the injector harness but I don’t get a knock sensor code. Any ideas on what my issue could be? Thanks.
