Keep OEM CV Axle Cores?

What do you think guys, is it worth paying the core charge to keep the OEM CV axle cores?

Hmmm. They're Toyota OEM, and unless you're the 3d or 4th (or 6th or 7th...) owner you have some idea about how much they've been used/abused.

But you bought rebuilts for a reason; just replacing the boots on these things is a messy, thankless job. (And comparing the price of the boot kits to the price of a rebuilt, you won't save anything.) I've re-booted a set twice before, if I ever have to do it again I'm definitely leaving the rebuilding to the professionals.

So I'd return them for the core charge. Think of it as "paying it forward."
