cv axle trouble

cv axle trouble

my cv axle has slid out of the axle housing a inch or so, why would this happen . it wont simply slide back in so how do you get it back and what DID hold it in? thanks

Should be some sort of retainer. Get FSM and go through it.

Looks like the flange pulled out of the axle. Should pop in but you might have to remove the CV to do it.
