87 4runner brake booster

Putting 1tons under my 87 4runner. What brake booster should I upgrade to that will bolt right up or work!!? Thanks

The v6 brake booster from the 88 and up will give you much more brake power (bigger diaphragm) than the stock 1st gen 4 cylinder


You'll also want a bigger master cylinder to match that new booster. I have 4 piston v6 calipers up front and el dorado calipers in the back. This was too much fluid for the 1 inch bore 4 runner v6 or even fj80 land cruisers to handle, I had very squishy brakes

I used a sky 4x4 adapter to fit a Chevy 1 ton master to my upgraded Toyota booster. Now my brakes feel perfect for daily commute driving.


53-2776 is the booster part number
