What is the tube in the circled area for? It is located right below the carb. I just got an 87 suzuki samurai conversion with an 87 22r carburated motor and the engine ran like crap until I capped this port. It was just wide open. What is it for? Is it okay to just cap it or do I need it to do something else?

If the sammy has a brake booster vac line, run it to that port.
You might consider doing the toy MC swap into the sammy, if you're doing the toyota axle swap

 

The sammy has toyota axles already and a Toy MC. Where exactly does this go? Straight to the MC? Is it bad if I just cap it?

 

to a 1 way check valve and then to the booster. As long as your power brakes are working and your cap isn't leaking it's fine to cap that off.
