I'm having a tough time identifying this coolant hose. The internet is full of all kinds of the wrong pictures today.
1985 2WD pickup 22R w/ Carburetor
Hose snakes over the top of the oil filter. Starts at the pipe circled in green in the photo (behind that hard line: can't see it). Blue line is direction of travel. Bends up to connect to manifold below the carburetor. I don't even know what that thing is that it starts from (red #1 in photo). Timing chain cover?
Bypass hose? Any guesses? Trying to find a part number.
Also: is there a place that has all the schematics for these systems? I can't seem to find them. Best I've come up with is the Toyota parts website, but I can't find this hose on their page...
Thanks y'all!

It appears that the molded hose is still available from Toyota. I see two part numbers listed for a 1985 Truck with 22R. I believe the top one is what you need, but I am not 100% sure. You can call or visit your local dealer with your VIN to confirm.
Part number: 16261-35061 (MSRP $16.56)
and
Part number: 16261-35040 (MSRP $16.16)
You can find it cheaper online, but shipping might make it more expensive than your local dealer in the end unless you are buying multiple parts.

That is a coolant hose that Toyota calls "HOSE, WATER BY-PASS".
It is a coolant hose that allows coolant to circulate through the engine before the thermostat opens up, bypassing the radiator.
The bypass hose is reference number 16261 in the diagram below:

thank you!
That schematic is a bit abstract to me, but that’s the hose! I’ve already tried Autozone, no luck. I’m going to have to wait until Monday to go to Toyota parts department.
