Hey all, I messed up and ordered 29 spline gears for my front differential and just realized it when I got the old pinion out.

Toyota pickup 8 inch front axle.

I'm wondering if anyone would know if I am good to order a 29 spline flange and run those gears in the front? It seems like I am. All else being the same except for the end of the pinion from what I can tell. Just wondering if anyone had done that. Most of what I see online is running 29 spline in the rear when looking for flanges.....?

Anyways, appreciate all information so that I'm hopefully not out a set of gears (not sure how returning them would go since I've had them for a few months now)...it sucks having to order something else as it is but if that's all then I guess it's better than not.

 

Front and rear 8 inch 3rds are identical.

Get a 29 spline flange and put it together. No problem.
