This is the kit A-30-104 needed to rekey 1st gen "K" series locks. This kit was later superseded to another kit that was bigger(A-30-115), covered a few more series, but lacked the bezels. So the 104 kit is preferred. It has everything you need; nothing more. The only item I had to get separately was the bezel for the tailgate lock.
I'm not saying buy this one, just that this is the kit that'll do the job. Rekeying is remarkably easy if you take your time. Oddly, the ignition lock is the easiest to learn on, as there is no bezel involved.
If your ignition lock pulls out at any position a new key is often warranted, but typically installing new wafers(Keying) is the complete fix.
I cleaned my locks in an ultrasonic cleaner, then with 0000 steel wool after I took them apart. Used no lubricants after I put it together and works great.
My key 88 4runner key pulled out from any position. I was thinking about replacing the cylinder but I needed a new key. New key cut manually at an old fashioned locksmish shop and the new key only comes out at the proper position, after depressing the release button. $4 fix.

Same. I'd used the same key the '87 truck's full life, and it would just pull out in any position. Switched to an unused original key, and it worked properly. $0 repair.
I did mention that a new key can often fix the ignition lock issue. I had two locks with different keys, and rekeying it myself was pretty quick and easy.
The ASP part number for the tailgate bezel is P-30-210. You might have to buy a qty. of 10, but they’re pretty cheap. I should mention this is for 1st gen "K" series locks. A newer 4Runner would be different.
wondering if anyone has the whole part number for an 1st gen 4runner, or just a fuel door lock is what Im really looking for.
Also anyone ever heard of the glove box lock? G-30-107 is what I got from a locksmith.
That part number you got from the locksmith looks like an ASP Corp. part number. I don’t remember a keyed glove box lock on the first gen from Toyota, but maybe aftermarket had one.
Here’s the ASP part numbers for the gas door lock. You only need a face cap if you rekey the lock. When ASP says “complete lock” I think what the mean is the arm that’s on the back of the lock that the rod attaches to is included.
The T-30-103 number I got, that's not helping me find the lock though.
i found some numbers off of here.
69058 seems to be Toyota part number but there's a dash -##### on everything on the internet.
69503 is a full set of locks and keys, but again, the rest of the numbers. So make sure it's for the 4runner, or if they fit.
I don't have a fuel door lock cylinder at all. I lost the original key to it, then I busted it and took it out years ago, No clue where the hell I threw it. Not thinking I should keep it to fix it.
The glove box lock got me supper excited, he had pictures of it in his system, it looked perfect match
but locksmith can't get it, or the fuel door.
The celica had one, it doesnt look right with the angle, and the samari has one.. looks off
I dunno where you could get a complete lock set that has every lock on the vehicle all keyed to the same key code.
Ignition and door locks are still readily available from Toyota and aftermarket. The one caveat about the factory oem ignition lock is the part number got superseded and is a different series key code. You could have one key to unlock the vehicle and another to start. It can't be recoded to match your existing lock code. The aftermarket ones I believe use the same key series you have now, so it can be recoded to match(you didn't list the year of your vehicle so I'm making some assumptions) Gas door and tailgate locks may prove to be harder to find new. eBay or wrecking yard perhaps.
Regarding the fuel door. If you look at both locks on Google you'll see the only difference between the two is the internal release lock has a tab on the swing arm that the internal release pushes on. The other lock has the swing arm without the tab. if you found the gas door lock with the internal release you probably could make that arm work with some alteration.
Mainly I want a fuel lock.. the hole for the cylinder is smaller than a door lock.
I have an 82-87 pu/4runner.... lol
i dont remember what ignition i have, thats fine with its own key. The doors have 84 pickup locks in them. And the rear door doesn't matter cause I have a soft top an no rear window. I've got the set of 85 4runner door locks but I lost the key..
Okay, tons of fun on the internet, if you search for the overseas version of the hilux on ebay.... LN50,60,70 RN50,60,70, N50,60, 70 YN52, RN58.... ˟˟˟˟ like that, you can find cylinder kits for decent prices, for 4th gen 83-87...... You can find tons for 88+ just look RN85.....
Also they sell a locking gas cap, this could be for diesel only idk Fuel Cap For Toyota Hilux LN65 2.4L DF (Locking) (77310-26023NG)
found a new fuel lock cylinder with key, from Taiwan, lets see if I get it lol
edit: finally went to my local locksmith and got my new fuel door lock, glovebox lock, and door locks to match my ignition... 1 key to rule them all.
@Jimkola
Sorry it's a few years old, but one of my ignition switches is toast and if I have to get in there, I am thinking of keying all three of my Yotas to the same key on all locks... That kit is hard to find and I was wondering if you're done with it? I would buy the rest of the pieces you didn't use.
Thank you!
