The clock has started in the tow yard for my truck in SF, which won't start with a jump. I noticed that the fuse box cover is missing, and can't identify what I need with the factory service manual. I can't find a copy of the owner's manual either. Which fuse(s), if any, should I replace to get the truck out of the tow yard?
Here's a picture that should help a little. If you need, I can post a schematic diagram too, but I think this should do the trick for you.
Ignore the little red markings, they were for another thread.
The two missing regular, normal sized, automotive fuses are spares. Put in one of whatever you want in them. They have no metal clips or wires going to them.
IIRC, the large fuses, that Toyota calls fusible links, are attached on the bottom of the fuse box. It comes out easily. The wires are under there too, so make SURE the battery cables are off before working on the fuse box! No arc-welding allowed!
Good luck to you. Glad you got your truck back!
