1987 Stolen Pickup Recovered - Help ID'ing parts for repair

Hey guys, I have a 1987 Toyota Pickup 4x4 Std Cab w/ 109k miles.
I was in the middle of getting my truck serviced at a shop but the mechanic left the truck outside and it was stolen. Thankfully the truck was recovered a week later and it looks like the thief just wanted to make a quick buck.
The Catalytic converter, gas, and battery were stolen. No real damage to the truck other than the steering column and the locks. They broke both door locks and hotwired the car. Look like the entire top part of the column needs replacing.

It honestly doesn't look like a hard job to fix and I was hoping someone here had experience swapping out the steering column and locks. Tracking down parts might be tough so any feedback would be great!. I would hate to see such a clean truck go to waste and my insurance is making it seem like aftermarket is the way to go if I can source oem (used) components.

What should I be looking to swap out? Not entirely sure if I need the entire steering column or just the top parts and if keying it to match the doors and ignition would be a pain in itself or If a locksmith can do it. I'm in CA so I need a CA emissions CAT but thankfully insurance wants to fix it instead of declaring it salvage. Also need a Carburetor if anyone has any leads to a nice rebuilt one for a CA truck (not stolen just not warming up very well when cold because the valve wont open).

See pics below.

Door locks are readily available, and a locksmith can rekey. You can either get the key code off the existing passenger door lock, or if you replace it you can have the other locks rekeyed around that lock.
Any muffler shop can install a legal converter. Personally, i prefer ones that bolt in, but they can weld one in, too. That cat will bring virtually nothing at a recycler. Idiots.
Replacing the combination switch assembly (84310-xxxxx)would repair almost all those wires. Not sure what cuttting them accomplished. Again, Morons. It looks like the electrical part of the ignition switch is ok.

I'd highly recommend fixing your own carb. After dealing with carb rebuilders on my Suzuki Samurai I'm not too impressed with the quality of work out there. The biggest thing is replacing the needle and seat, along with setting the float properly. Not a ton more to do besides cleaning it inside and out.
If you post the model number I can look at a exploded view of the steering column., Was the steering column cover destroyed?

Thanks @Jimkola super informative
If I buy an ignition tumbler like so (https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...77502&pt=10041) could I also buy some door locks and have them keyed to match the ignition lock--or am I stuck with two keys now?
I would prefer to keep both of my original keys but ive heard that rekeying an ignition cylinder is tougher than the door locks.

As for the CAT, I'll just be buying the most expensive CA legal one insurance is willing to pay for and have a local shop install it for me. I agree with the bolt on comment.

The wiring all looks pretty straight forward. I can find a replacement combination switch assembly on ebay but I think I'll also need a Ignition Starter Switch. They cut every cable in the steering column for some reason.

I guess my issue comes with the part behind the combination switch assembly. The grey part where the ignition tumbler goes. The steering wheel currently turns freely so Im assuming they might have broken something there. Do you think I need to source a replacement or can I just bolt it back on and replace the tumbler? Any idea if the truck comes with a steering lock which they might have broken? or did they just remove the three screw that attach to the steering column?

The carb is unfortunately just too far gone. The tank was feeding in rusty crud and it ate up the carb pretty bad. I've found a few sites that do rebuilt CA emission carbs. Just need to see which type of connector mine uses and take a hit on buying it over rebuilding mine. I dont mind adjusting mine but I think I need someone to swap it out.

The steering column plastics were completely torn off. There was like 10 separate pieces in the cab when we found it. Fortunately ebay has a few--just need to hold out for a brown one. What do you mean by the model number? an exploded view would be great!

To do a bolt in cat they’d need to replace the header and muffler, too. It’s not that expensive, you can price Bosal and walker and see if it’s worth it.
Rekeying the ignition is the easiest of all. It doesn’t have the chrome cap like the door locks to deal with. So yes, it’s pretty easy to get everything back to one key.

here’s a parts diagram of a steering column. This one has tilt. Not sure if yours is like this.

Thanks for the diagram. I found a few complete steering columns with tilt but I wasnt sure If swapping to one of those would be better as I would have to remove the entire shaft that attaches near the engine bay. Whereas with the non tilt, its just the the ignition and combination switches.
Insurance is thankfully covering the entire exhaust system so ill be going for a bolt on as soon as I find a suitable replacement.
As for the ignition tumbler, I guess I'll be removing my current locks and the new ones and taking them to a local locksmith for the work.

Ps, any idea if the truck came equipped with a steering wheel lock? Cant find any damage that would point to it being broken but the wheel moves freely and Im assuming they must have broken something.

Really appreciate the feedback. I'll update this thread as I go.
