I’m Replacing my expansion valve on 86 4rnr and when I cut Outside cover over sensor probe line there is some sort of white putty-like compound molded around evaporator inlet line & sensor probe where sensor is located.

What is it?

Should I reseal replacement sensor with new white stuff?

Where do I get White stuff?

I dont think that is stock ? everyone I have done or seen is always wrapped in foam , with tape .
