R150f shifter shake/vibration in 3rd gear only, any input?
Hey all! So I have an issue, I just finished rebuilding/installing my r150f in my 93 4runner. Shifts great! However, my shifter vibrates pretty bad in 3rd gear only. I don't feel it in the floor nor does it occur in any other gear, regardless of engine speed or vehicle speed, it only occurs in 3rd. Any input on what I may have caused this? I've tried up/downshifting into other gears at the same speed/rpm and shifter doesn't shake. I've attached a video that will hopefully play to better describe this. Trans has all new main bearings, needle bearings, marlin Crawler shift forks, marlin bearing retainer plate and marlin 1st gear thrust washer. I also replaced 1st gear and the input shaft. I did reuse 2nd 3rd and counter gears, and output shaft. All measured in spec and looked to be in good shape. All new brass was used as well. 3-4 shift sleeve/hub and detents were reused as well. Any ideas on what may cause this? I'll also include pics of the trans before I put the case havles on as well for reference. Thanks!

When I built my R150F I had a problem with 3rd and 5th popping out, turned out to be the syncro sleeves being swapped. If you look in FSM you can see a slight difference between the two in the drawings.
Maybe your 3-4 sleeve is backwards? When you engage all of the gears on the bench do they all visually engage 100%?
If you have people over they could have touched your parts while looking at them.. I had mine all laid out on a table and I think when some of the buddies were over they were picking up the stuff and looking at them and mistakenly put back in the wrong spot on my lineup

Yes, I rebuilt my trans at work, and fortunately nobody messes with my stuff unless I tell them to. Plus I have the FSMs to reference so that helps too. I've been diagnosing the problem and found I have a bent rear axle flange on my left side. Hopefully that's the cause. I will update as I need to pick up an axle from the junkyard today after work. And I'll have it swapped out this weekend.
