Need help aligning transmission bolt holes with engine
I finally have a doner motor back in my 93, but I’m having a hard time lining up the transmission and engine holes. It’s a manual. I have the top to bolts in, and I have the bolt on the lower driver side that goes in from the front, but I can’t seem to line the other holes up. I’ve tried loosening the motor mounts and putting the hoist on it to rotate it, but that doesn’t seem to do anything. The engine needs to rotate up on the passenger side. I’ve put a lot of work into getting it to where it’s at and it’s getting frustrating trying to get the tranny mounted. Do you guys have any advice? Thanks a bunch for everything so far!

don’t force it, or you’ll break the bellhousing and/or ruin the clutch disc. a transmission jack really helps, too.
without using any bolts to pull them together, try really yanking on the motor to “roll” it side to side and up/down if you can. sometimes this will put everything momentarily in alignment, and it will slide together a bit.

When you mounted the clutch, did you use a line up shaft tool?
Had an old Chevy Chevette long time ago. Installed a new clutch, and did use a line up tool. Transmission was just a hair off, and it would not seat. Mechanic friend of mine came over. We pulled the coil wire, so the engine would not fire. He got up underneath, and I bumped the starter one time, and the transmission seated perfectly. No housing bolts were installed when we did it like that.

The input shaft will seat into the pilot bearing? clutch disk before the trans will come close to bolting up. Did you remove the clutch while you had it apart?
The clutch disk MUST be centered in the middle of the pressure plate. Do not force it together or things will break. It is best to use a clutch alignment tool any time you install a clutch disk.
Sometimes you have to man handle the trans from under the truck to get it seated.
