Gas-Pedal Freeplay Question,

Does anybady know is excessive freeplay in the gas pedal will inhibit your power and acceleration. I don't know why, but lately my truck feels a little slower and the gas pedal has A LOT of freeplay in it, just wondering. I won't feel much need to adjust it if it does not slow me down. Thanks,

I've got mine tightened to where there's no freeplay. I hate freeplay. Look at it this way... at wide open throttle, which one will open the TB more? Answer... the one with no freeplay.

how do you exactly tighten the pedel up?

Well, on mine... I just followed the throttle cable to the throttle body to where there's 2 nuts separated by the thing that holds the cable in place. If you can move the cable, that's why you have freeplay. Experiment with the nuts to figure out how to tighten/loosen it up.

BTW, I have the 3VZE.
