2nd Gen 4runner $19,250

I can't say I'm that surprised. The prices of all 80s and 90s yotas, in my area at least, have sky rocketed in the last 6 to 8 months. Guys asking $10k+ for nowhere near well maintained vehicles.

Wow, again!
I didn't realize the prices were THAT far up. Incredible, especially after we (my lovely wife and I) just recently only paid $5,000.00 for our 99 4Runner!
Even with a $1,000.00 shipping charge to get it here, still reasonable. We couldn't have flown up to Denver from here, and driven back, for that. You count in food, overnight stop, etc etc, it would have cost us a lot more.
There was another one, virtually identical to ours, on the other side of Denver for $15,000.00! The dealer we bought from found out about it, right after he cashed our deposit check. TOO LATE! HA! He was really disappointed he hadn't seen that other one in time. Especially after he had the timing belt etc replaced, and the ECU as well. Small cost out of his pocket, not ours. HAH!
We've had about $2,000.00 of work done on it so far, trying to get it as close to factory as we can. We're getting actually pretty close, too. A new rear bumper, and a new radio antenna, and we'll be there. So, even with all that, STILL only about $8,000 total for our truck. Better than $15,000!
Still, the prices for these Toys are getting kinda outta hand. I wonder when this bubble will burst...

right with you, pat. i am stunned what people are willing to pay for 30+ year old 4runners; although looking at prices for new ones, i shouldn't be. still, makes me glad i got both of my '87s for $5000 each. a fair price as far as i'm concerned. i've put perhaps another $2.5 to $3k in each. so, like you, i've got about $8K per truck invested.
