O-rings in headgasket kit

So I'm the middle of headgasket replacement on my 1993 22re and there are 4 small O-rings included in the Felpro headgasket kit. What are they for? Are they for the fuel injectors?

Injector O rings?
I had the Felpro Headgasket kit for my 3VZE, I had 6 O rings in a yellow envelope that came in the kit.

I think these are for the injectors but not sure but can't think of anything else they could be for. I don't want to pull the injectors and find out they are not for them.

It would be a good time to replace those o-rings for the injectors. You should also get new cushions and grommets so the injectors are snug.

When I replaced the head gasket on my 87 4Runner, I used a FelPro gasket set. It came with all 3 rubber items for each injector. The gaskets all fit fine. Are you sure you didn't get the new grommets and "cushions" (what Toyota calls them in the FSM), as well as the 4 o-rings? If not, you might consider it. How old are the ones that came out, after all.
Don't forget to wipe the o-rings with a thin coat of gasoline when you put them on the injectors. Put the injectors into the delivery pipe before they dry out. I used a small bowl and soaked the o-rings, grommets and cushions before I installed them all. It seemed to work well. It's lasted a bit more than 20 years since then with no leakage. I'm guessing I did something right during the whole process

Good luck to you!
Pat☺

Thanks for the replies Gents. I went out to the shop and pulled the injectors and the o-rings are for them however there are no grommets in the gasket set. As ya'll have said the grommets are in bad shape so I've got a rebuild kit on the way. Surprisingly the o-rings are in good shape but the grommets were rock hard and brittle. Took some time and patience to get the bolts that hold the rail to the manifold they were stuck good and if a fella had just laid into them I'd bet both of them would have broken.

Yeah, had a distributor o-ring in the kit but the 4 little ones in a separate bag turned out to be for the top of the fuel injectors.
