Weber 38 Throttle Linkage

I have a 1987 pickup and I am trying to install a Weber 38 carb but the throttle linkage that was (I’m assuming oem) already on the engine will not hookup. Am I missing something? If I did this right there should be 2 pictures attached. Thanks.

LOL, I didn't. You can get one on Ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/32122979232...0AAOSwNSxU7NX1 or you can pay more here https://www.lceperformance.com/Weber...-p/1035021.htm . My 38 came with the correct bracket. I love the 38 on my 22r! I had a 32/36 that was ok but the 38 is way better and the mileage is about the same (as long as you don't stick your foot in it all the time). Read the tuning manual carefully as IMHO they are not easy to get correctly jetted and adjusted.

That’s awesome. I was about to fab me one up but I’ll just wait for the part. I haven’t got to the adjusting part yet. I hope it goes pretty smooth. I appreciate the help.
