88 Cab Swap

Hi All,

I have an 88 standard cab 2wd, and I'm considering swapping it with an xtra cab. Am I crazy? I currently have a 6' bed, I assume I'll need to swap the bed to make it all work? What kind of work would I be getting myself into?

Thanks!

The frame is different. You'd be good up to the front B-pillar, but everything after that would misalign. Oh, and 2wd to 4? that's another frame difference.

Not saying it can't be done, but probably best to keep looking for a replacement cab the same as what you have.

Thank you!

Yeah I figured it wouldn't be as easy as I thought. Sounds good, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks again!

I thought the frames were roughly the same after 85 between 4WD and 2WD?

But seconded, either way this is not a direct swap.
