Delete IACV and add high idle switch
My high idle will sit at 2500RPM for about 10 minutes, then the engine will idle between 500-1000 RPM, depending on how it feels. I've determined my IACV is faulty, and instead of fixing it, I'd prefer some manual control over it. I have some VSVs left over from the EGR delete, I was thinking of removing the IACV and adding one of those VSVs attached to a switch in the cab; flip switch, more air entering intake, thus high idle for cold days.
I thought deleting the IACV would be as simple as bypassing the coolant lines, cutting it out. However when I did that, the idle would stay at 2000RPM with the idle screw fully in, then it started surging, so I said screw it and put it back on. I guess I will have to instead make a block off plate, or tape/silicone that port on the throttle body (I doubt the engine would suck it in, or get damaged considering the stuff it's accidentally inhaled
). Has anyone done anything like this at all? The internet is pretty empty when it comes to IAVC deletes.

I would have tried to delete mine about three years ago, but it was simpler to buy a Standard Motor Products AC141. The one I got was made in Japan, and it came with the gasket. Looked exactly like the Toyota part. More than likely it was a re-boxed Toyota part just like Beck/Arnley use to re-box Toyota parts.
