22re 2wd into a 22re 4wd

First is it possible and should I leave the 4wd wiring harness in the 4wd and the 2wd drive engine doesn't have an rpm tach or anoil pressure gauge are there places for the 4wd drive harness to connect to I also read I need to switch the pick ups for the oil any other changes I should know about before I get into this project thanks for any help
The 2wd is an 87 the 4wd is a 92 will this matter the engines look identical
