I have two different model for sale. one is the direct bolt on model with no compass ($50 shipped), and another one is with compass ($65 shipped) that needs to be attached on the windshield. I can show you how to install it. It is very straight forward, you just need to tap into the fusebox for the power wire and ground another one. I can take picture for you to make the installation easier and I believe there is a write up in our forum too.

Yup, it is for a 3rd Gen. Your roof mount control is different because toyota changed the design which include a holder in 99++ model 3rd Gen. I have a 96 5speed SR5. I bought them cheap from a junkyard.

It is out of a 2000 4Runner. I believe it is made by Centex, a lot of auto company use them.
