87 4Runner IFS - Upper Arm Shaft position question
I replaced bushings in the upper control arms on my 87 4Runner and torqued and staked the nuts on the shaft. I just noticed the shaft on the right control arm is rotated about 10 degrees compared to the left control arm. When torqueing the nuts, the shaft must have rotated on me. Before I move forward on the suspension reassembly, should I remove one control arm and correct the rotation of the shaft so it's position is the same as the other? Or will this correct itself once under load?
Pic below is just a visual reference showing the shaft position difference between my L and R control arms.
To close this out and for anyone else that may wonder the same in the future, the upper control arms rotated and settled into position.
Here's a pic I took during the final day of restoring the suspension (87 4Runner)
