It's my biddies rig, I'm just the fabricator and free labor. He's my best wheelin' bud so we help each other out quite a bit. Anyways...here's what we got done last weekend.

You mean the drive shaft bolts?? If so, those were alreay out. Just did it on the T'case instead of the diff. We aint using it so we just left everything together. When it fell, the drive shaft got wegde under the cab and against the crossmenber. We were hoping it would all fall but it kinda got hung up a bit.

That wat your talkin' bout?

Yah, 37's. Bought em a while ago and it's a good thing. Can't get em now.

Phuny you mentioned that cause that's the jack I brought with me. My buddy actually started the SAS without a jack!!! I phowk'd with him all weekend bout that. The only jack he had was his hi-Lift and after the swap, that's gonna be useless as a jack. Guess I'll be bring my other ones with me this weekend.

Yah, I got all the cuts done and started pounding. Once I realized it was goina fall, I asked him where his camera was and told him to pound whilst I film. After all, I got to do all the cuttin' on his rig, (hehe) again! He really wasn't interested in trying. He's done all the welding so far though.

I like the video too. Makes a grin come across my face every time I watch it. hehe

No, It's pretty much sittin' like it is in the pics. You see, it's out in a garage in a small kuntree town, about 45-60 minutes outside of Tulsa so we only get to work on it on the weekends. Last weekend was the starting weekend and that's as far as we got. We'll only get to work on it Sunday this weekend so all we're hoping to do is get the rear 63's mounted so the rear sits with the front. That way, the following weekend, we'll finishish up setting up the front angles and the histeer, brace the frame and mount the steering box, hoses, bend and flare brake lines, and pretty much just get the front finished and werkin'. We'll still have at least another 2 weekends cause we'll still be lacking shocks (using ford towers) and time to go tweak it in the proving grounds and make adjustments. We're not in any hurry. Just wanna do things once so we're taking our time. He's got another vehicle so it's not really his daily driver when it's down. when it runs, he drives it daily but he's been drivin' the Suby. LOL

Anyways, I'll post liks to pics as we take em and make more progress.

Are those custom mounts for an ARB? I'm considering sas and was wondering where to source a front axle that would be 4:88 compatible to match the rear, but allow future upgrade of the rear. truck looks fun

daveyclimber:
Still no good pics of the hangers. What exactly are you wanting to see? The hangers are welded to plates that are welded to the bottom of the frame rail. Since the plates are wider than the frame rail, they have triangle gussetts where they extend inside the rails. That what your wanting to see? the bracing and reinforcment part of it? or the stye hangers we used?

anthony1:
We got it rollin' again(actually, it's been rollin' a while). Here's a couple pics...

We still need to finish fabin' the tcase crossmember so we can install the front driveshaft but cosmetically, it'll pretty much look like that.

mchombuilders:
I think you meant to post to me. If not, forgive me. If so...Yah, custom ARB mounts. That's the only way to keep it on the rig.

do all the work on a mud covered truck and drop dirt all over the floor in the garage... but then when its done... go out and wash it... hehehe... i did that with my bodylift... wish it was washed first would have saved tons of garage cleanup and tons of dirt out of my eyes
