FSM for rear drum brakes shows that left (driver side) and the right passenger side are NOT mirror images. The adjusting cable for the driver side loops around towards the REAR, but loops around toward the front on passenger side. When I took my brakes apart, both sides are mirror images....so that the adjusting cable loops to the rear side.

I would assume FSM assuming is correct accept for issue with the parking brake lever which on my vehicle is attached to the backing plate is towards the REAR on both sides..(not towards the REAR on driver side and front on passenger side as shown in the FSM diagram -hi-lighted)


This leads me to believe the FSM is wrong. Any advice?

 

I noticed that too! It's wrong. I want my money back, oh wait I got the FSM free. Ha!
