Exclamation Rack and Pinion Steering Upgrade

Hey everyone, I've got a 1987 cherry 4runner and I want to have the steering feel and directness of the newer cars on the road...has anyone put a rack and pinion in the 4runner or truck? I've still got IFS
Thanks!

Scott, I was looking at this a month ago and I think the 4th gen's have the rack in front of the spindles. It seemed if the throw is close to what the swing is on the 90-95's then this might work with a bit of custom bracketry and steering column mods. The PS lines would be a challenge as well. If not this then a hot rod custom rack might be a better alternative were the cost might offset some of the installation requirements. Either way some design engineering will be needed.
