Unhappy Driveshaft on 2WD

Hey,

Has anyone out there had any problems with a 94 4Runner driveshaft.
I have a rumbling coming from under the truck, and I initially though it to be the rear end. I replaced it with a 95 rear end with 32,000 miles, but the rumbling is still there. The shaft is within the .030 in round out, and when I run just the engine and trans, there is no rumbling. The rumbling starts at about 50mph and gets worse and the speeds increase.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

I replaced both u-joints, and that seemed to quiet the problem a bit, but the rumbling is still there.

Thanks for the reply

It's factory standard. I purchased it about 2 months back. I don't believe it has every seen off road.

does it have a one or two piece driveshaft? if its got a two piece, then that sounds like a center support bearing or also called a carrier bearing going bad

Maybe your tires are out of round.
Another thing to check is maybe one of the axle is bent.
put the rear alxe on jack stands and put in gear and see from the back if you notice anything.
