Forget about a HiJack for recovery try this...
Having just gotten my truck a couple of weeks ago, had to get it muddy! Believe me it made the brake-job this weekend alot more interesting, dirt everywhere!
Anyways, one of our party got his lifted 1st gen in trouble. 33's were under mud along with tailpipe and his starter. It stalled and we didnt have a winch.
Hooked the HiJack to a tree and bumber via two towstraps, it was a BITCH to jack. Then someone pulled out a chainfall - one word AMAZING!
Had the stalled truck out of 10ft of 3ft mud in a few minutes without breaking our backs.
CanadianTire has them on Sale for $90 CDN ($55 US) well worth it;

Thats the one, it's not huge. The orange head is about 10 by 8, then the chain, fits into a box 10x12x8.
It is regularly $179 CDN on sale right now for $89
