I am trying to install my new ARB bumper and Smittybilt winch. Couple of issues i have ran into and i could use anybody's help who has done this. I have been searching online and didn't find any Pickup installation, i know 4runners are a bit different
1- My bumper is hitting the frame (shown in the picture) not sure what to do on this, do you shave that piece off from the frame or the bumper.
2- where did you guys install your solenoid box? can you please share some pictures

this may or may not, most likely not, help. I installed an ARB on my 87 last year. not exactly the same. I seem to remember reading that your body style required trimming and alterations. I would call ARB USA and ask, also verify you have the right bumper. the winch solenoid is usually mounted to the top center of the bumper with the supplied bracket, make sure you clock your winch right right way or youll end up with excess wire sticking out of the bumper, ask me how I know. some guys run some extra wire and mount it under the hood somewhere but I didn't really see the point for my truck.

 

What did you find out about the frame? I just started fitting mine. It looks like it sits up on that part you circled. I have to get my winch mount figured out before I tighten it up though.

 

On my 95 pickup I installed the arb 3414070 bumper and it was a direct install. I was snagging that area pictured since i forgot to unscrew the two bolts on the bottom of that horizontal chasis bar. Hope that helps.
