head lights low will not turn on

1994 4Runner both head lights, low beam, will not turn on. High beam turns on. Not sure where to start. Can some one give me direction based on the problem? The 10 amp fuse looks normal. The Head relay and Head fuses are located on the passenger side engine. Thanks for any help.

Well the 2nd gen trucks have a problem with the turn signal switch loosing contact when you try to switch to high beams. The lights just go off. Pretty scary when you're running down country roads at night. Since yours is newer you could start there. I pulled my switch all apart, cleaned the contacts and greased it with dielectric grease. It's been working fine since.

I would first start simple and check to make sure both low beam headlight filaments are good.

If the bulbs are still good, then we need to look at a wiring diagram and use a multimeter and/or a test light to find where your problem lies.
