Dim lowbeams

I have a 91 Toyota pu.
I been searching and found alot of no lowbeam problems but not my problem.
My low beams are very dim, both are on but dim. Highbeam works fine but no indicator in the dash when highs are on. I figured a bad ground but have checked and tried everything I can think of.
People get a little PO'ed with my highbeams on so I can see. LOL
Any Idea's would be great.
Thank you

Have you tryed plugging in another head light to see if that makes a diference ?, other things that come to mind are head light relay or head light switch, thats all i can think of right now.

go to www.4crawler.com and look for the headlight wiring harness upgrade... if you do some tests with a multimeter, you will find out that the power going to your lights is actually VERY low compared to other vehicles, so get the harness (or make your own) and get the FULL power going to your lights...

I finally got around to finding the problem.
I replaced the fuses, relay, headlights, switch and still dim lowbeams.
Tonight I got time to get into the wiring. Someone had replaced the plugs one the headlights at sometime and got the wires wrong. I didn't see them as they were inside a wire loom so didn't see the splicing job.
All is good now.
Thanks
