cruise and intermitent wiper help

Recently picked up a 93 2wd truck with the 22re and aw55 5speed. my question for the ones more experienced with these trucks is, did they come with everything cruise related except the switches on the steering wheel? Mine has the servo under the hood with all the wiring and cable to the throttle body but the steering wheel switches are not there. The guy i bought the truck from said it didnt have cruise when he bought it in 98 or 99. there is a black 4 conductor cable that runs up the column with the headlight and wiper wiring that has been cut. It has a Red, Black, Green, and Yellow wire in it but that does not match the colors shown in the wiring scematics for the cruise switches. Next question, it doesnt have intermitent wipers only high low and mist. Is it as simple as replacing the wiper switch and adding the control box if there is one to have intermitent wipers? Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

If there is a servo style cruise control unit under the hood it's not a factory cruise control, they were vacuum actuated from the factory.

Thanks for the reply. I need to take a closer look in the morning to make sure it doesn't have a vacuum line, it has several wires going to it and looked like a factory install to me but I didn't look close at it. I guess my next step will be to try to figure out what cruise system it is and source the switches and see if it works.

A 20-year old after-market modification, where somebody already cut the control wiring? Well, I know I wouldn't be able to resist the challenger either. Good luck!

Four Solid color wires.. Sounds pretty simple. Power ground and two signals. One has to be "enable" and one has to be "set".

Trace them back to hopefully a controller and you will find a part number you can look thru an old JC Whitney catalog or Google for.

...
I don't remember details on the wipers, I'd like to say yeah. Check in the right kick panel for the wiper control plug if it's there add the module and switch/lever.

Ok guys I took a closer look and the servo or whatever it's called under the hood has wires and a vacuum line. from the servo the wires run inside to brake and clutch switches, not spliced plugged into it. Its definately aftermarket. no control module just the 2 switches a wire spliced at the pcm a hot at fuse panel and what looks like a 5 pin relay socket and a relay. Anyone have any idea what brand it might be? I cant find any numbers or info on it anywhere. Thanks for y'alls help and patience. Been pulling wrenches a long time but this is my first toyota. The wiring is a little different than my chevys and I dont have much time to get everything fixed so any help is very much appreciated.

My truck had high low and mist as well, no tilt. Trip to the junkyard and I got a tilt wheel with the intermittent system. All the intermittent system is built in the column and was plug and play. Although I’m not sure if you can just get the stalk and unit that mounts in the column and it would work in your current column? But as far as I know there is no external box/ relay it’s all built in the column, hope that helps a little

That helps alot. I'm planning on making a trip to the local pick and pull yard today any just want all the info I can get before I go. I have already had to pull my multifunction switch to clean the dimmer contacts because o didnt have high beams. Now that I know everything is on the column if the multifunction will interchange I'll have intermittent wipers this evening. Thank you sir.

No problem it was one of the more exciting finds at the yard and super easy too, the tilt was extremely exciting also!!!! Now the wheel was off a 92 and mine is a 91 but if you find a wheel I’m guessing they didn’t change much for a 93 but I’m not 100% good luck!!
