95 4R stripped interior, engine dies
Hi guys!
long time reader of this amazing site!
I stripped the whole interior except the steering column and the air vents behind the bar running across. So all buttons including the gear shifters. Battery was disconnected for 3 months. It’s an automatic. Ran great before.
Now i I need to move it. I installed the dashboard, ecu, security module, front windows and abs modules. Verified ground on all. I did not install anything else and using pliers to shift and steer.
Engine starts and dies. Thinking EFI. It’s the car deciding to kill the engine. No blown fuses. All cables look good.
Diagnostic mode has the O/D and check engine lights blinking rapidly at the same time without giving a code.
I don’t know what else to check. All connections and sensors look good visually. Any ideas?
I’m going to continue adding electrical components until it starts or I run out of them.
Thank you all!!
Dan

Welcome to YotaTech.
"Starts then dies" is the classic sign of a problem in the VAF/COR circuit. Jumper B+ to FP in the diagnostic connector (this forces the fuel pump to run with key-on). If that clears up your symptoms, you know where the problem is.
