Help with gastket kit for steering gear box

Hello everybody, I have a yota 91 v6 4WD DLX manual transmission, currently it has a steering gear box leak, I was looking for a gasket kit to fix it and I found this part number 04445-35110, can someone tell me if that part will do the job, also if I need some other part please Iet me know, I would like to be sure about the spare parts required before taking apart the steering gear box of the truck.

No part number. And what is your question?

Weird, your text is black and on the black website background it doesn't show up. That part number on ToyotaPartsDeal.com is listed to fit 1989 to 1992 Pickups and 4Runners. I'm not sure what all is included, but it is described as the Power Steering Gear Gasket Kit. Pretty pricey. RockAuto.com lists some parts for significantly less. I've used the Edelmann brand twice for rebuilding my 1988 and 1987 steering boxes.

Sorry about that, the part number that I found is the 04445-35110, do you know if Edelmann solds the complete kit? This is my first time that I will do this job, so I am not completely sure about what I will need. Thanks

The Edelmann kit was complete for me. It had to two seals, and a bunch of O-rings and teflon seals too. I only replaced the input seal since that was all that was leaking for me and it's really easy to get to. Can be done with the box in the truck.

The Edelmann steering box seal kit for the '91 box is #8847

The Edelmann seal kit for for the earlier short IFS box is #8846

RockAuto lists two part number for a 1991 model year 4x4 Pickup based on build date. 8847 and 8749. Not sure what actually changed, I've owned all 1988 and older trucks which take the 8846 kit.

Hi, I just ordered 8749 part number and it fitted, I just put everything back again but now I am having another kind of problem, I have a lot of play in the steering wheel at the point that its funny when I am driving on the highway, I adjusted the top pre load nut on the gear box but the steering gets too hard, what could be missing here?

I'm trying to get away with just replacing the leaky seal in my steering box. To clarify: the input seal is also referred to the worm shaft seal?

With the box still in truck, you can just take out the lock nut, adjusting screw then somehow pry out and press in a new seal?
