94-95 evaporator housing

New member here. I'm looking for a evaporator housing (only the lower part) but would buy the whole assembly if I could find it. From what I can find it's part # 88510-35330, of course discontinued by Toyota. We have a pull a part around, but they never have any. It uses r134a & I think they only used it in 94-95. I guess that's why it's so hard to find. Can't find any aftermarket parts either.

Evaporator housing

Hello:.

I am disassembling a 95 4Runner for parts to fix my collision damaged vehicle.
If you send me a picture of what you need, or describe where it goes, I can remove it from my donor, and ship it to you.
I'll ask $65.00 plus shipping for the item.
The donor was a very solid undamaged Azirona car, so I'm very sure the item isn't damaged or non-operative.

Thanks zartt, unfortunately from researching the 4 runner used a slightly larger evaporator so the assembly or box is a little bit larger. I could be wrong, but I'll research some more. What I need is the lower unit on the evaporator assembly, it splits in half. Mines busted end to end. It's under the dash.

Are you sure it's not 88510-35360 ?

Lakeland pulls that part number for the '95 I put into their website. It might depend slightly on model, and I had to guess at what you had. But check out the "what this fits" tab.

its a 1995 pickup dlx w/22re. I looked on eBay & the ones I seen for a 4 runner says it will not fit a pickup. I'll look into it more.

Let's see, do I rely on what a Toyota Dealer says, or eBay?

Printout the Lakeland page, and WRITE YOUR VIN on it. Take it to your local dealer. Include both part numbers (heck, printout the eBay page, too).

The woman behind the parts counter knows a lot more than I do about what fits what. These printouts will make her job a little bit easier. Obviously, if I identified the correct part, you won't expect a brick and mortar store to match an internet price. But if you convince them (by your homework) that you know what you're doing and aren't going to make life difficult for them, they can often give you a better price than list.
