87 4runner won't stay running

Hi new here. iv been searching threads but haven't found anyone with my issues. Iv got an 87 blue marlin 22re dually. The box has been removed and is a 12 foot flatbed. It has been running fine without issue. I just parked it to take the header off and weld a break. After reinstalling the header the truck won't start. No engine lights are one. It turns over and seems like its not getting fuel only runs for a second or two. I checked the fuel pump and spark, both are good. I looked for vacuum leaks cleaned the intake manifold. When I checked spark I pulled all 4 plugs they all looked like ˟˟˟˟ I cleaned them put them back in tried to start it did the same bull. Pulled them again and the first 3 were soaked last one was dry. I ran a straight pipe off the header but I just added a new muffler to the end thinking maybe backpressure but still just turns over and dies out after a second

Dieing after a second is making me thing its not getting fuel. Get a spark tester and see if its getting consistent spark. I would all so check the fuel pressure. Just because the pump runs doesn't mean its getting the right pressure to the injectors.

Ill get a spark tester but how do I check pressure. I pulled the return off the fuel rail and jumped the pump and fuel pisses out of the rail so that tells me the pump and filter are both good if fuel is going thru the rail. can I test the pressure regulator or just replace it?

Make sure there is plenty of gas in the tank too. I beat my head against a wall for a while after my truck wouldnt stay running after I had done a lot of work on it and it turns out I cant trust my fuel gauge.
