Sr5 Gauge Cluster Swap Question

I have a ‘89 Toyota pickup that I put a sr5 gauge cluster in. Everything is working but the tachometer at idle is right about zero. I feel I’m not getting an accurate reading on the tach. Any pointers or help?

ive read that if the tach was not working at all that I’d have to run a cable.

Any help would be appreciated
