intermediate plate below stock carb remove?

intermediate plate below stock carb remove?
not sure what to do with this intermediate plate below the stock carb -- it has 2 small water inlet/outlets -- i'm replacing with a weber, not sure if this plate stays???

If the plate is able to be used with your new carb, I'd leave it.
The hot water plate warms the carb in cold weather to promote fuel vaporization and helps prevent carburettor icing when it's damp out..
