Just bought a used S/C, Gasket question.

I just bought a used 1st gen S/C (still in the mail) I was wondering if I can use my stock TB and intake manifold gasket with it? I just want to make sure cause I'll order what I need now so it all gets here at once.

Thanks!

The TB gasket is different. The stock one has a D shaped opening and the one that comes with the S/C is an O shaped.

The stock intake manifold should be ok to use if it is still in good condition.

You really should just replace the gaskets since if it does leak then you just made more work for yourself plus a leak could show up sometime down the raod if it doesn't show itself right away.

Where did you buy it?
How much? (if you don't mind me asking)

I picked it up from usdansker on his 3.4 Supercharger thread (he's selling some wheels and shocks also), for $600 due to being a 1st gen and having 60k on it. (Figure I should dump $300 into new nose drive the be safe). Still a good price though. He is very good at answering questions quickly and is very friendly to work with if anyone was thinking of buying some ofhis stuff.

SLCpunk: I thought the D shaped ones were only one earlier 3.4's, does my '99 also have one like that? If so, where do I get the O's?

Your local dealer should have both of these in stock.
