My daily 1980

The names Brad and I've just bought myself a 1980 pickup. it needs some work. the trucks been in PA so its definitely going to need a pair of rockers and the floorpan some loving. ill post pics of the pickup its self later. it has a flatbed on now that I'm not a big fan of so I got on CL and found one but I'm pretty sure its older the the pickup its self pre 79?HAHAH. the bed has a badge thats its been in CA. What I want to know is will it fit my truck.. I payed $100 for it so it won't be a huge lost if it won't fit. look forward to seeing what you guys have to say

Welcome to YotaTech!

I am not a fan of flat beds either, but that one doesn't look half bad.

That bed is for the previous generation Toyota Trucks (pre-1979), so the body style is different.

I don't know if the mounting points are the same (or close to the same) as your truck or not. The general dimensions of these trucks did not change much until the second generation Tacoma.

It sounds like you already bought the bed, so if no one here knows, you could be the guinea pig!

You could do some measurements of both your "new" bed and your frame to get an idea of where that bed would sit on your frame. Check wheel well opening to see if it lines up with where the axle is on your truck.

that bed looks sweet. I hope you get it fit right.
I personally love the flatbed look. In a more perfect world I would go flatbed but right now I'm looking for a camper shell so headed in the other direction I guess.
