LSPV [Load sensing proportioning valve] Interchangeability

Has anyone tried using a 1986-1988/9? 4Runner/Truck [P#: 47910-35090/47910-26040] on a 1984/85 Toyota 4Runner or Truck [Original P#: 47910-35080/47910-26111]?

I am trying to use a newer LSPV on my 84 4WD and not sure if the different P# changed due to some internal change on the unit?

Thanks for any assistance.

Not that I am aware of, but that list is growing everyday..

Put it in, test the line pressure and you can tell us.

I just removed mine from my 85 4runner. Got a manual a manual valve. Wildwood has one with 10mm threads that bolt right on.

Installed. Not great but works. Want to replace all brake lines in the near future.

Just pointing out what should be obvious here..

A manual valve is not equivalent to a load sensing valve.

The whole point of the lspv is that the line pressure is correct regardless of what's in the back your dog or a pallet of lead...

Agreed with the above. Will depend on your application and requirements. In my case, a manual valve was the best choice.
