T4R first gen - Add USB/Aux adapter to OEM radio
Hi Guys!
I love my T4R OEM radio. I'd like to know if you have installed an USB/Aux adapter to yours, and if you have some tips to help me to do it.

Your picture doesn't look like an adapter. It looks like just a jack. And the USB connector is USB-A, which is almost always the "output" for USB. USB is all digital, and your radio (except for a little bit around the display) is all analog.
If you're willing to delve inside the radio and tease out the amplifier inputs, you'd "only" need the USB-audio converter. If you're still following, this might be what you need: https://www.banggood.com/Bluetooth-A...r_warehouse=CN It seems to be a pretty capable board; in addition to the USB mini B connector, it has a USB A connector, Bluetooth, a TF reader, and several controls. What it doesn't have is ... documentation.

The round plug interfaces with a CD there are obscure documents for its communication protocol. It can be done via this port and a microprocessor to translate. I looked into it abit but never did anything with it...
The other option like scope says is to inject it just before the the output section (s) of the head unit. It'll have to be before the audio gets split into components which is going to be a problem.. Doable but difficult.
As a last resort you can rely on the rear amplifiers and just have audio from the back.
Of course you can get a modern unit with Bluetooth and just mount it under a seat or something..

, so I replaced the mast and I have working radio again now. The point is after your comment I went to check the rear speakers and found out they don't work. Another thing to the to do list.
