Hey guys. Bought this truck a couple weeks ago and slowly fixing everything the PO screwed up. For some reason it has a GM radiator (?) that doesn’t even fit properly. Truck has 33s on it now and I don’t believe it’s been regeared. I live in the mountains of NC, so it’s cooler up here, but the truck will be working harder because of the hills. Will I be fine with an OEM replacement or should I get something beefier? Was debating between 2 or 3 core spectra premium from rockauto, or a mishimoto/other aftermarket one.

Nothings wrong with the OEM radiators but I've heard really good things about mishimoto. You should look into the gearing on your truck it makes a nice difference especially if you're running 33s, it might have already.

Anyone know why it would have GM radiator on it? Seems to be smaller than OEM. I’m assuming it was cheap/free and the PO just didn’t care.

The CSF's are a nice drop in replacement. Copper/Brass construction. Purchased one of the 3 cores about 2 yrs ago for my old rig. At the time Amazon had about the best prices on them when they had them in stock.

If I remember correctly they offered both a 2 core and 3 core.

These radiators are not quite as good as the original OEM Toyota radiators, but are the best you can get these days for a direct replacement as most OEM radiators are no longer available or cost $$$$$.

I would rather buy a quality made part up front, even if it is more expensive, than keep replacing the same cheaply made part over and over or have it fail at the worst of times....
A few people have had good luck with them though....
