Starter ID - 1981 Pickup 4x4

Is this the correct starter for a 1981 Pickup 4x4, 22R and a 5speed swap (I don't know the specifics on the trans).

The pictures I'm seeing plastered over the internet, don't have a half shrouded snout and have a plunger with replaceable contacts.

The truck used to start with the occasional click, but worked fine, so I know it will function with the flywheel, but I don't know if it's the correct starter for the truck...It could be for a Celica for all I know.

The starter is extremely weak and I'm hoping there's a chance I can rebuild it myself if I can ID it or replace it with the correct one. I'm not picky - I just want to get it started.

Just what do you want to know ??

There are only 2 different starters for the 22 R RET and RE one is for the Automatic and One for the Manual either will work .

They both have solenoids

Internet pictures in catalogs are pretty much worthless .

I'm not referring to just any internet picture, but how-to threads dedicated to starter rebuilds on Toyotas. Heck, even Marlin Crawler sells rebuild kits for 22R and they won't work in my case.
