Best source for transmission gears?
Hi Guys, I pulled my 4wd transmission (W-56c) apart tonight. All the gears look perfect or at least they did until my pulled slipped and I chipped the small side of fifth gear
I went ahead and put all the bearing in it as well as checking off my specs. The main shaft bearing and the back countershaft bearings where bad.
I see the gear is readily available aftermarket but figure I would ask if anyone has experience with aftermarket transmission gears and would recommend any. I will call Marlin tomorrow and I am sure he would be the best to ask as well as calling the dealer to see if it is still available from them. So far all the factory Toyota parts sight I have searched do not show the gear in there Fiches.
Any ways let me know. thanks
