New guy with 94 SR5 pickup

New Toyota owner here. Retired Old fart gear head in North Alabama. My neighbor had a old Toyota pickup parked in his garage since 2009. I asked him about it once and he said there was a title problem. Last week he offered it to me for next to nothing. It had some issues, bad radiator and water pump, hoses, belts. Tank full of rotten gas which I drained. Tires were square from sitting flat for 9 years. Fuel pump died. Fixed all that and new tires and she runs fine. I left it idling yesterday and it threw a 25 code. Now that I found and downloaded the manual, I'm going to investigate that. Body is in great shape.

The code 25 error apparently was due to the idle being set to 450 rpm. Set the idle up to 800ish and everything seems fine. Did a 20 mile drive and ran perfectly. Downloading the shop manual was a huge help as I'd likely never figured out how to set the idle speed without it.

750 seems to be a sweet spot for these bad boys. Which engine?

It's the 3VZE. The idle screw is way out. I probably turned it 20 revolutions to get it up to 800.

That seems super excessive. How’s the timing on it? Close to the 0 mark at all?
