1986 toyota is hard to get out of second gear
my 1986 toyota 4x4 was stolen and luckily it was found a few day later. The inside was gutted, radio, speakers, tools and some other things.
I was glad to get it back, but now it is very hard to get out of second gear. I double clutch it to get it in (I double clutch a lot when I shift in to all gears). It goes into second easily, but is very hard to get it out. Any ideas what to do next?

Is the master cylinder reservoir all the way where it should be? Maybe try bleeding it. Is there any symptoms of a slipping clutch or any abnormal noises? Do you know when the clutch was last replaced? Hopefully those bastards didn't intentionally destroy your transmission... There seems to be a lot of information on THIS site regarding your issue.
