93 Pickup 4x4 indicator light issues

First, I wanted to say that I looked through a couple pages of threads regarding this issue but they all seem to be for ADD. If it's not ADD it's just regarding the location of the Indicator Switch

My 93 Pickup 3VZE's 4WD light doesn't come on. My 4WD works, tested it, with my manual hubs locked. I recently changed to LED gauge clusters and rotated the bulb both sides to make sure. I tested the pigtail to my Indicator Switch located at the top of the transfer case with a multimeter set to resistance. Here's what I got...

Black/White: 2.9 ohms
Green/White: Nothing

From what I was told, the Green is the power and Black is the ground. Not getting any power but getting resistance to ground.

Any ideas? I'm up to try and do whatever to try and get it resolved. Thanks guys!

Just How did you measure this??

Using the 2 pins on the pigtail from the switch

To test a switch when it is closed ( lever in 4 Hi or Low)

You should get 0 resistance .

When open (lever in 2wd or neutral)

You should get infinite resistance some meters will flash OL analog meter will be pegged on the high side.

A switch works or it does not

Not that the problem can`t be a open circuit in the wiring

I tested it from the tail end of the electrical connection going up towards the engine bay. I was checking to see if my wiring was bad.

So the best way to check it is to check the switch itself? Because when I connect them together, I know it doesn't work. Appreciate it.

Start with the simple !!

If the switch is bad you found your problem.

Although if your under the truck and see the wires from the switch pulled apart you found the problem

I think this is powered through the gauge fuse is that open??

Then you have a short
