Help! I need the Torque for the Torsion Bar Torque bar
Help! I need the bolt torque for the Torsion Bar, Torque arm. It is not in the Chilton's manual.

Thank you for the info,
The little numbers in those diagrams are torque values. I never knew that! I have always read the 'torque specs' in the back of the chapter. After finding the exploded view in the book, It has the same thing.

There are "standard" torque values accepted by Toyota for different sized fasteners. http://web.archive.org/web/201007280.../8standard.pdf There are different grades of bolts (having to do with the strength of the steel), so you need to learn how to read the bolt head. Note that the size of the bolt is the (duh!) diameter of the bolt, not the wrench size.
This works almost perfectly for every ordinary fastener you come across (you could even memorize the half-dozen values for 4T bolts), but I would look for a specific reference for high-torque fasteners like the crank bolt.
